Chapter two, The Magician’s Nephew
In chapter one, Digory tried to warn Polly not to touch any of the rings – he had seen a look in his uncle’s eyes that he didn’t trust. (13) In chapter two, Digory learned that his uncle had planned to entrap both Digory and Polly from the start. (24)
When he finally heard of Polly’s predicament, Digory agreed to help her get back. But he told his Uncle he expected his uncle would face the consequences of his scheming. (24)
Questions to Ponder:
Do you think people eventually face the consequences of their behavior?
Or do you think some people get away with what they do?
If Digory looked at your life, what activities might he warn you about?
What happened today that you want to remember?
