Nina Goes To Hell is a beautiful Mark Dahle Portfolio.

It includes a colorful abstract painting, twenty-six beautiful photographs of the Arizona desert, and the story of a woman who thought she might not be in heaven when she heard her friends weren’t there.

Unlike many picture books, the story is not related to the photographs in the portfolio. People who are disappointed by this may draw their own pictures of hell on the pages if they like. (And adults might want to take a look at our discussion of this topic below.)

“Look,” he said. “I know you have all eternity to work on this, but I’ll save you some time. Everybody else from the Bible Study is across the chasm, too. You’re the only one here.”
